KMD is a New York hip-hop group. Zev Love X is known now as MF Doom. This was his first foray into hip-hop, with his brother DJ Subroc and another rapper Onyx The Birthstone Kid. His brother died after recording of their second album, and Zev left the game for a long while, only to re-emerge as MF Doom. He certainly doesn't rhyme like Doom on this record. Way more political, with a wholly different style. I love the children's tv samples in this record, and it's a great record to sit in your room and chill out to. Even of you're not a Doom fan, this is highly recommended!
